Beat-maker, Scott Storch went through a phase with his whole cocaine addiction issues, but he is good now, and trying to make a comeback. He and Fat Joe made a lot of hits back in the day (Get It Poppin, Lean Back, Make It Rain...), so it is no surprise that the two are back in the studio cooking up some bangers. In his recent interview with Complex Magazine, Scott Storch was asked about his working relationship with Fat Joe, and he said...
"Awesome, we came away with some amazing stuff. I can't wait for everybody to hear it, it's definitely the epitome of what he and I do. We've worked together numerous times and never failed to make a hit record. Joe is like the Godfather of rappers, I'm telling you. Even at the "Mastermind" listening party we just did, rappers look at him like Don Corleone. ... It's definitely a handicap being a Latino rapper, I can't even front, but he still overcame that because he's great." (Complex)
Truth, Fat Joe is really respected...I mean on that Don shit. Of cos, young hip hop listeners might not know much about Joe, but if you did a little research, you would know how respected he is in the streets. Dude gave Biggie his first ever show, and paid him a thousand bucks, and a bottle of Hennessy. He is respected from the east, to the west, to the south. I did a lil research on this guy back in 2004, and was blown away. He might not be the dopest rapper out there, but if you are looking for someone who's lifestyle matches everything in his music, then look no further. Joe is the realest. You heard of his guys, Macho and, Pistol Pete (who Tony Yayo ran from when they saw in the streets back in the mid 2000), then you know how much of a Don Joe really is...Don Cartagena.
