Narelle Dore is a storyteller. Her look book for her latest collection features not only beautifully designer garments, but 12 tableaus showing the emotion and ferocity put into the collection. Like abstract expressions, each piece is worn against a backdrop of natural destruction. The garments are classically cut, but slightly angular, as to represent the sharp sentiments in each scene. Oliver Ruuger, whose collection of artifacts resembles enchanted oddities, has just graduated with an MA with distinction from London College of Fashion. His twisted, over grown contraptions look somewhat like magical antiquities, which contain secret powers. Each piece exhibits a high level of technical ability as he has combined modern hi tech processes with low-tech manual workmanship to produce an accomplished body of work for which he received the MA Award in Design.
