My Experience with VLCC Specifix Professional Jojoba Hydrating Scrub:

This hydrating scrub comes packed in a simple pure white plastic tub with a wide band of sea green on the packaging. It closes with a screw type closure lid. Initially, the product comes closed with a white sheath. The packaging looks very simple and just like other products from Specifix. You have to dig out product from the tub which is not very good if you consider the hygiene. This is a nice body scrub that can be used during bath time. You have to clean and dry your fingers every time to avoid contamination of the product. The packaging is leakage proof and has no chances of wastage. All the product details are mentioned on the body of the tub itself. The packaging is very sturdy. Overall, the packaging is neat and leakage proof.

The odour of this face wash is very pleasant. It is enriched with jojoba oil, sunflower oil and shea butter extracts. All the ingredients sounds awesome and gives a luxurious bath treatment to the body.

The product has a thick and rich butter like consistency. It is of light peach colour and contains tiny fine crystals in it which are hardly perceptible to the eyes. Only when you start massaging your body, you get a feel of their presence. These particles are meant for exfoliation purpose. They don’t feel harsh or rough on the skin and won’t make your skin dry. They offer a very gentle treatment to the body and you can use this scrub 3-4 times a week. The formulation spreads on the face evenly and is quite easy to work with. It is suitable for all skin types.

I take about generous amount of product and massage it on my body in circular directions. The scrub removes every bit of dirt and grime from the skin. It cleanses the body really well and provides a nice bathing experience. I feel very fresh after using it. It also reveals soft, smooth and supple skin which feels nice to touch. It also works as a mild exfoliator and easily removes dead cells from the body. It acts as nice body polisher and gives a nice glow to the skin. It also tones and firms the body cells and increases blood circulation. This also doesn’t snatch away the natural oils of the skin and restores the moisture balance.

It is great to be used for summers and nourishes my skin really well. But I am not sure how well it will hydrate my skin during winters. Since I have extremely dry skin that forms dry patches during colder months, I think I would have to follow up with a body lotion.It is not enough hydrating for such seasons even though it is called hydrating scrub. The fragrance of this body scrub doesn’t linger for long after bath. It also did not irritate or cause any discomfort to the skin.

Overall, this is a nice product and gives a nice bathing experience. It is really gentle for regular use. It is my first body scrub purchase and this has performed decently and has a nice cleansing power. It is ideal for summers but during winters it will not provide that intense hydration that is expected from this scrub. I will buy this again but just for summer season.
