At least seven people are feared dead when terrorists numbering about 14 carried out multiple attacks in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
Six bombs are believed to have exploded and an eye witness told Reuters that three of the terrorists went into Starbucks and blue themselves up there.
Two other attackers who were carrying hand guns entered a police post and began firing and later ran away as police began chasing them.
The site of the blast is close to the Sarinah shopping mall and a police station and the area has luxury offices, hotels, offices and embassies.
Indonesian President, Joko Widodo said,
"Our nation and our people should not be afraid, we will not be defeated by these acts of terror. I hope the public stay calm".
Starbucks has released a statement that one of the customers died in the attack and all the staff are safe.
