CAR BOMBING IN ANKARA TURKEY, 34 DEAD, 125 INJURED

In the latest spate of attacks in Turkey, a car bomb ripped through a busy square in Central Ankara on Sunday, 13th March killing 34 people and injuring 125 of which 19 are in serious conditions.
Tne blast reduced several vehicles to burnt wrecks. Ambulances rushed to the scene on Kizilay square, a key commercial and transport hub close to where the embassies are located in the city.

An official statement said,
"The blast was caused by a vehicle parked with explosives close to Kizilay square".

Medical officials told AFP that the injured were taken to 10 hospitals around the city.


Turkey has been hit with a lot of deadly attacks recently coming from both the Islamic State and Kurdish rebels including a double suicide bombing in Ankara in October last year in which 103 people died.

Also in February this year, Turkey witnessed a bombing which the Kurdish Freedom Falcons claimed responsibility for and warned tourists not to visit Turkey.
